2022-23 Annual Report

For more than three decades, Communities In Schools has surrounded students across South Carolina with communities of support, providing them with the tools they need to become the heroes of their own stories. This month, we are proud to release our latest annual report where we recap last year’s impact and celebrate the resounding success of the CIS model. These successes include having 99% of our case managed seniors graduate and 96% of our K-11 students move on to the next grade level.

Last year, our dedicated team and caring community partners provided nearly 24,000 basic need supports, ensuring students had the essential resources they needed to thrive – from nourishing meals to technological tools, emotional guidance, and beyond. By bridging the gap between community resources and schools, we are advancing equitable education, dismantling barriers, and propelling student achievement.
