Introducing CISSC Circle: A Community of Monthly Support Changing Student Outcomes

At Communities In Schools of South Carolina (CISSC), we believe that when students have consistent support, they are more likely to stay in school, succeed academically, and graduate prepared for what’s next. That belief is at the heart of CISSC Circle, our new monthly giving program designed to create sustainable, long-term impact for the students and schools we serve across South Carolina.

What Is CISSC Circle?

CISSC Circle is a community of committed supporters who choose to give monthly to help students overcome barriers to success. By joining CISSC Circle, donors provide reliable funding that allows CISSC to respond to student needs in real time—whether that’s access to basic necessities, mental health support, academic interventions, or family engagement services.

Monthly gifts of any amount come together to form a powerful circle of support around students, ensuring they don’t face challenges alone.

Why We Launched a Monthly Giving Program

Student needs don’t occur on a one-time schedule, and neither should the support they receive. We launched CISSC Circle because monthly giving provides stability, flexibility, and sustainability for our work.

With predictable funding, CISSC can:

  • Plan ahead for student and school needs
  • Respond quickly when urgent challenges arise
  • Invest more deeply in evidence-based interventions
  • Reduce administrative costs and focus more resources directly on students

CISSC Circle also makes giving easier for supporters. Monthly donations allow donors to make a meaningful impact throughout the year in a way that fits their budget and reflects their commitment to educational equity.

The Impact on Students We Serve

Every dollar contributed through CISSC Circle helps remove barriers that stand between students and success. Monthly support fuels the work of CISSC site coordinators: trusted adults embedded in schools who build relationships, connect students to resources, and coordinate individualized supports.

Because of consistent donor support, students can receive:

  • Food, clothing, and hygiene items
  • Attendance and engagement interventions
  • Mental health and behavioral health referrals
  • Academic support and enrichment opportunities
  • Family outreach and advocacy

Most importantly, CISSC Circle helps ensure that students feel seen, supported, and believed in day after day, month after month.

A Circle That Grows Stronger Together

CISSC Circle is a giving program with a shared commitment to South Carolina’s students. When donors join the Circle, they become partners in our mission to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.

Together, monthly donors help create lasting change for students, entire schools, and communities across the state.
